Offered is a collection of three items encapsulating the history of the Miklos family in professional baseball. The lineage began with John "Hank" Miklos, a left handed pitcher whose documented record includes four seasons with the Winnipeg Maroons of the Northern League plus a brief stint with the 1944 Chicago Cubs. Hank's son, also named John & also a southpaw hurler, continued the legacy by pitching five years professionally & being selected by the Seattle Pilots in the 1969 Expansion Draft. 1937 September 4th Hank Miklos no hitter game used baseball. "No Hits No Runs Sept. 4 1937 Winnipeg 6 Fargo 0" handwritten on baseball with approximately 29 names signed & handwritten on the ball including Bruno Haas (who played briefly with Connie Mack's 1915 Philadelphia Athletics), Jack Knight (who pitched for various MLB clubs from 1922-27), Chas Suche (who pitched briefly with the 1938 Cleveland Indians) and more.
1944 Hank Miklos Chicago Cubs game used Rawlings mitt. "Rawlings PM5" stamped on heel with the original "Rawlings St. Louis" manufacturer label still affixed to the adjustable wrist strap. Heavy use shown.
