Offered is a game used Spalding Official National League Warren Giles baseball which has been signed on a side panel by Chicago Cubs hurler Ken Holtzman along with a "Best Regards" inscription. "Beat Dodgers L.A. 3rd Straight Shutout 4-0 Score" handwritten adjacent to autograph. Examination of Holtzman's game logs reveals that he did throw three consecutive shutouts May 11, 16 & 20 of 1969 with the final shutout on the 20th coming against the Dodgers, though the final score was 7-0.
