Blessed with a sweet swing, Ken Griffey Jr. was baseball's preeminent superstar of the 1990s. This size "44" jersey was worn by The Kid during the early stages of his Hall of Fame career.
What makes this a keeper is that it was the first design Griffey wore in The Emerald City. Two years later, the team switched to more stylish digs. But we'll take this classic look, worn by Griffey Jr. during some of his best days.
The gray button-up has the team name applied in two-color tackle twill while the back identifiers are created in single-color royal blue tackle twill. "GRIFFEY" is spaced across a nameplate on back. Moderate yet very discernable wear is shown with a few minor scuff marks on front and minor fraying present. If you hold the jersey up to the light, you can easily see the sliding scrape mark below the 24. Infield dirt, a redish color, is also found on the top right chest area.
The inner tail contains a Rawlings size tag and "Set 1 1991" flag tag.
Overall, one of the finest Griffey Jr. jerseys we have encountered.
