File it under the category - You Have To See It To Believe It. This Mets letterman's jacket (no size indicated although it appears to be near a size "44") contains at least 23 patches, many wore by the team during portions of a season. Some of these patches were never made available to the public.
We will list the patches by location. A Mets interlocked team insignia is embossed on front. Patches include:
Front - 9-11-01 memorial
Left sleeve - Bob Murphy memorial, Mets logo, Bill Shea memorial, 20/60 (Tommie Agee/Brian Cole) memorial, Jackie Robinson 50th Anniversary.
Right sleeve - National League centennial, MLB 100th Anniversary, Mets 25th Anniversary (1986), Mets 40th Anniversary (2002), 2000 World Series logo and "Ya Gotta Believe" Tug McGraw memorial.
Back from top - MLB logo, USA flag, Shea Stadium 40th Anniversary logo, Miracle Mets 25th Anniversary, 1964-65 World's Fair logo, Baseball 125th Anniversary logo, Shea Stadium last season (2008), AIU Insurance Co. logo (worn only during Tokyo series), Citi Field Inaugural Season logo and MLB 4 ALS.
