Bob had a 15 year career in the upper level minor leagues from 1944-57 batting over 300 eight times. In fact, while playing for Little Rock in the Southern Association from 1944-48, he hit for better than .300 each season. He hit for over .300 twice while playing for the Toledo Mudhens of the American Association as well.
