Offered is a New York Mets home jersey which was likely originally issued to Brian Giles for his 1982 season with the team. Rawlings size 42 tag sewn in collar while "Mets",
number 23, a restored "Flynn" nameplate and a team logo patch are also sewn to the blue pinstriped white knit two button pullover. No year/set tag present though the Mets wore this style from 1978-82 with Flynn wearing number 23 from 1978-81 before being traded in the offseason with Giles taking over number 23 for the 1982 season. Previously examined Mets jersey of this style have shown that the Rawlings tag was typically sewn inside the tail from 1978-79 & outside the tail from 1980-81 before being sewn in the collar for jerseys issued in 1982. Moderate to heavy wear shown with some fraying to the reverse numeral stitching. (02D0250)
