Issued during the 1961-63 era, this Willie Mays ball in hand Bobbing Head doll remains in gem mint condition. From the same old time collection as the Stanford Pottery Indians bank (Lot #544), and Willie Mays Nodder bat in hand (Lot #545),this Willie Mays nodder was saved in the box until a few years ago. An overzealous spouse threw out the box during spring cleaning, but the statue remains in its same pristine condition as when it was boxed in Japan during 1961. Face paint, white base paint, cap, and shoes are glossy mint. The original factory decals are flat and uncracked. The only slight flaw is that it appears some lint or dirt specks have gathered above the facsimile Willie Mays decal near the feet.
