Offered is a Spalding Official American League Lee MacPhail baseball that was used during Game 1 of the 1974 World Series on October 12 at Dodger Stadium which saw the visiting Oakland Athletics defeat the home Los Angeles Dodgers 3-2 en route to a 4-1 series win. Hall of Fame hurler and Game 1 victor Rollie Fingers has signed the ball on the sweet spot along with a "1974 WS Game Used Win Ball 10/12/74" inscription" while "1974 World Series Opening Day October 12, 1974 Dodger Stadium Rollie Fingers Game Used Win Ball" & "Athletics 4 Dodgers 1 Umpires: Gorman Kunkel Harvey Denkinger" are written on adjacent side panels.
