Offered is a Chicago White Sox jersey dating to their 1976 season when team owner Bill Veeck historically introduced collared, softball style jerseys to the baseball uniform lexicon. Rawlings size 42 tag sewn to tail while a Sox batter logo, number 76 and "Veeck" are also sewn to the white mesh pullover. Jersey differs from the actual jerseys donned by the White Sox in that it is constructed of mesh as opposed to knit material and features the Sox batter logo in place of the text reading "Chicago" found on the actual game jerseys. Letter from original owner stating that jersey was worn by Veeck while conducting the 1976 press conference to introduce the new jerseys will also attend, though MEARS was unable to substantiate that claim via visual evidence.
