This is a 2006 Aramis Ramirez Max Bat Professional Model Game Used Bat. This bat dates to the 2006 season based on the dating provided on the Chicago Cubs Team Certificate of Authenticity. This bat currently weighs in at 31.7 ounces and measures 34 inches in length.
This bat exhibits heavy use with ball marks present on top and back of the barrel, with a number of deeply embedded ball marks. This bat has a 19" H-style handle crack present along the top of the handle, which runs through the Max Bat centerbrand on the front. This bat has Ramirez's jersey number, 16, present on both the knob and barrel end in silver marker.
This bat comes with a Certificate of Authenticity from the Chicago Cubs, which states the following, "The following item: Aramis Ramirez Broken Bat was used by a Cubs player during the 2006 season.", which is signed by Tom Hellman, the Cubs Home Clubhouse Manager.
Ramirez has been with the Cubs since 2003 and has been a vital part of their offense along with Derrek Lee and Alfonso Soriano.
