Eric Davis was a five-tool player who first gained nationwide prominence as he appeared on the cover of Sports Illustrated.
While injuries beset a sure-fire Hall of Fame career, Davis won a World Series title, pocketed two All Star appearances and earned three consecutive Gold Gloves.
This size "44" jersey was worn by Davis during his final year in the big leagues - 2001. The button-up knit garment is desirable for several reasons. The black style was only used for two seasons. Instituted on the reverse is an American flag patch in remembrance of 9-11 and our war involvement. Each of the identifiers is manufactured in three-color drop shadow formation, and "DAVIS" is applied to a tightly cropped nameplate as well.
The left sleeve is accentuated with a team disc patch. Sewn in the tail are these tags: Russell Athletic, fabric content/size and "+ 1/2" Sleeve End" flag tag. The use is moderate with material softness and light puckering from extended wear.
