After a brilliant career which earned Eddie Murray membership into both the 500 homerun and 3,000 hit club, he played his final 7 games with the Los Angeles Dodgers. This is one of, if not the very last bat ever used by Murray.
Supplied by the Louisville Slugger company, this bat measures 35 ½” and weighs 33 ounces. Having medium use, there are distinct signs of ball marks on the barrel. Prepped per Murray’s specifications, the handle contains 4 carefully applied ringlets of athletic tape and a moderate application of pine tar.
Final Grade: Base grade of 5 points for bat matching factory records, 2 points for moderate game wear, and 1 point for Murray player traits. A great bat representing a Hall of Fame caliber career.
Other documentation attending includes a CelebzDirect COA card from the Ramon Martinez Collection, PSA/DNA LOA 1B08583 awarding a grade of PSA GU 9 & PSA LOA W06061 assigning a grade of 9 to the signature.
