This is a 1993-96 Rafeal Palmeiro Cooper Professional Model Game Used Bat. This bat dates to the 1993-96 period based upon the color of the third ring on the bat, light blue, which was used by Cooper starting circa the 1993 period, and the closing of the Cooper bat plant. This bat currently weighs 32.5 ounces and measures 34.0 inches in length.
This bat exhibits heavy use with ball marks present on each side of the barrel. The finish along the barrel has started to flake from the use on the bat. A moderate coating of pine tar is present along the handle of the bat extending 8 inches down the handle from the knob. A 9" handle crack is present along the front/bottom of the handle.
Palmeiro is one of only a handful of players to not only be a part of the 3,000 Hit Club, but also the 500 Home Run Club. During his career, he racked up 3,020 hits, 585 doubles, and 569 home runs, while hitting .288 throughout his career. His accolades include being a 4-Time All-Star selection, 3-time Gold Glove Award Winner, and a 2-time Silver Slugger Award Winner.
