1992 Sam Sosa Chicago Cubs Louisville Slugger Professional Model Game Used Bat (MEARS A10) First Year w/Cubs

Featured in this lot is a Sammy Sosa professional model Louisville Slugger game used bat from his first season with the Chicago Cubs in 1992. Model number L159 is stamped on the barrel along with Sam Sosa and Chicago Cubs in block letters.

This natural finished ash bat currently weighs 31 ounces, measures 34" in length and matches known player factory records with a round barrel and regular knob. It exhibits signs of heavy use with ball marks, deeply embedded stitch marks, cleat marks, handle tape and a heavy application of pine tar. Handle remains uncracked.

With heavy pine tar, Sosa tape pattern, heavy ball & stitch marks and an uncracked handle this is one of the finest early Cubs Sosa bats known.

Bat receives 5 points for matching player records, 3 points for use and 2 points for a player use traits resulting in a final grade of MEARS A10.
