Wilson wore the jersey number 3 while he was with the Toronto Blue Jays from 1989-91. This bat currently weighs 31.1 ounces and measures 34 inches in length.
This bat exhibits heavy use with the majority of ball marks present along the bottom and back of the barrel, with the bottom of the barrel exhibiting light signs of grain separation. A number of ball marks display ink transfer along the bottom of the barrel. A heavy coating of pine tar is present from the knob of the bat through the Cooper rings. This bat has a 10" H-style handle crack present along the back of the barrel. Wilson's jersey number, 3, appears in black marker on the knob of the bat.
Wilson enjoyed a long twelve year career, during those twelve years Wilson racked up 1,397 hits and 327 stolen bases. He is best known for being the player that avoided being hit by a Wild Pitch in Game 6 of the 1986 World Series and later during the same at bat, hit a ball that rolled through the legs of Bill Buckner, a play that still haunts Red Sox fans to this day. Wilson was one of the main reasons that the Mets won the World Series in 1986.
