1984-88 Mike Scott Houston Astros Road Jersey (MEARS LOA)

Offered is a circa 1984-88 era Houston Astros road jersey, though 1986 can be excluded from consideration due to no Franchise Silver Anniversary patch worn that season. Heavily tattered Goodman & Sons tag sewn to tail while "Astros", number 33, and a "Scott" nameplate are also sewn to the knit pullover. This shirt was returned to MEARS Auctions and is now being offered with these updated comments "The first is the markings under each armpit that show the “SP”, Shannon / Phillips tags. Their code was - one indicates a replaced nameplate, two indicates replaced nameplate and numbers. The opinion is that this is a 1984-85 Goodmans road jersey, most likely a blank that had a “33” and nameplate added by Tom Shannon / John Phillips. Nameplate and number on the back of the jersey have a different tackle, different stitching used on the back of the jersey. Shirt may have been restored as a blank to represent Mike Scott.
