This is a 1983 Larry Milbourne Louisville Slugger Professional Model Game Used Bat. This bat dates to the 1983 season based on the Milbourne's jersey number, 15, which appears in red marker on the knob; Milebourne wore the jersey number 15 only once during his career in 1983 while he was with the Philadelphia Phillies. This bat currently weighs 33.3 ounces and measures 34 inches in length.
This bat exhibits heavy use with ball marks present on all sides of the barrel. A few blue and brown bat rack marks are visible along the barrel of the bat. There is an 11.5 inch H-style handle crack present along the top of the barrel, which in no way affects the centerbrand. Light deadwood is present along the back of the barrel. Milbourne has autographed the bat in black marker and inscribed it with "Best Wishes, New York Yankees, 1981 World Series". Milbourne's jersey number, 15, appears in red marker on the knob of the bat.
Milbourne was part of two teams that won their respective leagues pennants, the 1981 New York Yankees and the 1983 Philadelphia Phillies. During both of those seasons, and the majority of his career, Milbourne played a vital role on any team as an infield utility man that had a decent bat at that plate. Milbourne played a total of 11 seasons in the big leagues spending time with the Astros, Mariners, Yankees, Twins, Indians, and Phillies
