Cal Hubbard was born in Keytesville, Mo., on Oct. 31, 1900. After college, he played tackle for Green Bay, Pittsburgh and the New York Giants and was elected to the National Football League's Hall of Fame in 1963. After his pro football career, Hubbard turned to baseball as a major league umpire. He was elected to the baseball Hall of Fame last year.
Offered for this lot is Cal Hubbard’s official Baseball Hall of Fame ring.
Rings was professionally weighed by a professional gemologist and recorded at 28.5 grams. Balfour, 10K, is stamped inside shank.
“Hall of Fame Baseball” is factory stamped on outer perimeter. On one side is “Umpire, National Baseball Hall of Fame”, and “HUBBARD, Elected 1976”.
