1976-77 Geoff Zahn/Willie Hernandez Chicago Cubs Game Worn Home Jersey (MEARS LOA)

Offered is a Chicago Cubs home jersey which was originally issued to Geoff Zahn for his 1976 season with the club. Wilson size 44 tag & a strip reading "38 76 1 44" sewn in collar with a 76 year tag sewn to the tail while a circular Cubs logo, number 38 and a team logo patch are also sewn to the blue pinstriped white knit pullover. Chicago 1976 & NL Centennial sleeve patches were removed following the 1976 season with stitch outlines visible on the sleeves with the Cub Head logo patch indicating jersey may have been carried over for use in 1977 when Willie Hernandez wore number 38 for the Cubs. "RL" also written in faded black marker on interior of reverse tail. Heavy wear shown. (94V0345)
