This New York Mets home jersey was worn by Benny Ayala during his 1976 campaign with the club. Rawlings size 42 tag sewn to tail with a set 1 flag tag while a strip reading "42 76 18" representing the size, year of issue and uniform number is sewn in the collar. Team name and number sewn directly to jersey in blue on orange double tackle twill. National League Centennial patch present on right sleeve while Mets city logo patch and black arm band memorializing the passing of Casey Stengel & Joan Payson is found on the left sleeve. The armband has been restored, and the an original patch has been resewn. (Y0304)
