Don Kessigner (born 1942) was a defensive specialist for the Chicago Cubs from 1964-1975. While playing shortstop, Kessinger’s defensive prowess earned him 6 selections to the National League All Star team.
This 1973 road knit shirt was a new style introduced during the 1973 season and wore through 1975. Supplied by Wilson, the size 40 shirt is correct for Kessigner for the era. In the neck is the “73 2 40” strip tag. The year, 1973, is represented by a “73” tag on outside lower tail.
Shirt is autographed in near mint black sharpie. Shirt is all original and shows heavy game wear.
