This bat, along with four others, comes directly from the collection of former Dodgers and Angels bat boy. ( LOA included LOA included from pawnshop owner that obtained the bat directly from the batboy) This example is a signature model K90, 1965 being the only year from this era bat (1965-68) in which he ordered the 35"-34 oz (knob is actually marked in pencil 33 1/2) K90 model (two orders on 3-9 and 3-12 1965, 12 bats total). The factory stamps are perfect. The bat shows light but distinct game use. Above the barrel, there are approximately 6 surface ball marks that repeat themselves in a cluster extending along the upper surface. Below the barrel are at least 3 sets of light seam marks, along with clusters of ball marks. There are two sets of rack marks, white and red, following the handle area of the bat. Maris certainly took a few cuts with this bat along with the fact the bat was in and out of the back rack a couple of times. 1965 and 1966 (his last in New York) were tough ones for Maris due to injuries and the bad press from the New York sports writers. Bat grades 5 base points, 1 use point and 2 provenance points for a MEARS A8
