This bat, along with four others, comes directly from the collection of former Dodgers and Angels bat boy. ( LOA included from pawnshop owner that obtained the bat directly from the batboy) This example is a signature model M159, 1965 being the only year from this era bat (1965-68) in which he ordered the 35"-31 oz M159 model (two orders on 3-29 and 8-24 1965). The factory stamps are perfect. The bat shows heavy game use with pounded ball and lace marks on all hitting surfaces with black and red rack marks. His typical small number 14 appears on the knob. There is a 4" handle crack which is the only element that keeps this from being a perfect A10 (-.5) On September 2, 1965, Banks hit his 400th home run forever endearing himself with Cubbie fans and the only Cubs player to have a statue in front of Wrigley Field. A great documented and factory recorded Banks gamer in top condition with Banks traits and one of the tougher to find high grade 500 Home Run Club gamers.
