Boog was a mainstay with the Orioles through their glory years in the mid-late 1960's playing in both World Series during that decade. During the 1966 series, he had 14 at bats and batted .357. This bat dates to that era being a 35"-36oz O16 signature model, one that he favored and ordered that entire time. The bat grades a MEARS A8.5 with 5 base points, 3 use points and 1 point for the vintage red number 26 (he wore that number with them from 1963-74) with -.5 for handle crack (still has vintage celluloid tape repair) All markings are perfect, the red number on knob is not readable but is very clear on barrel. A nice high grade Powell gamer from the Orioles championship era. Collection of MEARS staff. MEARS LOA.
