1961 Ed Fitzgerald / Charlie Shoemaker Kansas City Athletics Game Worn Home Jersey (MEARS LOA)

Offered is a Kansas City Athletics home jersey which was originally issued to Ed Fitzgerald for his 1961 season as a coach with the team. Wilson size 42 tag sewn to tail along with embroidery reading "Coach No. 42 Set 1 61" while an "A" and number 45 are also sewn to the pinstriped flannel jersey. It appears as though the jersey has undergone a team number change from original issuance of #42 for coach Ed Fitzgerald to #45 for for second sacker Charlie Shoemaker who joined the club in September.
