1958-89 Al Dark Chicago Cubs H&B Louisville Slugger Professional Model Game Used Bat (MEARS A8)

Offered is a professional model Al Dark game used H&B Louisville Slugger dating to his tenure with the Chicago Cubs circa 1958-59. Model S44 stamped on knob along with Dark's uniform number 17 written in faded black marker. Bat currently measures 35", weighs 30.5 ounces and shows moderate use with ball marks, bat rack marks, pine tar and slight grain swelling. Handle remains uncracked. Bat receives 5 points for matching player records, 2 points for use and 1 point for a documented uniform number resulting in a final grade of MEARS A8. (97Y0103, 3009)
