Using factory records for bats sent to Cimoli as a signature model K55 that measures 35" and weighs 31.7 oz along with his vintage number 9 in black marker on the knob, it can be determined that this bats use dates to the 1956/57 Brooklyn Dodgers or the inaugural season 1958 Los Angeles Dodgers. The bat is accompanied by a notarized LOA from the former Los Angeles Dodgers batboy. Even though he got the bat in Los Angeles, the bat could have also been a carry over from Brooklyn. In either case, it makes this bat a factory documented Dodger game used bat with provenance. It grades a MEARS A9.5 with 5 base points, 2 use points, 2 points for provenance and a half point for his vintage number 9 written in black marker on the barrel end of the bat. There are red and black rack marks about the bat with some deeply embedded ball marks on top of the bat. This example remains in stellar condition with no cracks, chips or dead wood of any kind and is the only Cimoli bat ever graded by MEARS.
