Offered is a professional model R43 Hank Aaron H&B Louisville Slugger likely dating to his tenure with the Milwaukee Braves during spring training prior to the 1955 season, as evidenced by the "Braves Training" factory stamping between the center brand & barrel signature stampings. Bat currently measures 35", weighs 33 ounces and shows heavy use with ball marks, stitch marks, bat rack marks, grain swelling and a repaired handle crack. A pair of black marker signatures & inscriptions ("1955" & "755") from Aaron are also present on the barrel. When signing the bat, Aaron recalled using this bat with the "Braves Training" stamping well into the 1955 season, as evidenced by the heavy use which would be consistent with more than Spring Training. He liked the bat so much he signed "Henry Aaron" on the barrel. To my knowledge, this is the only signed Henry Aaron bat in existance. MEARS A8. (35K0034)
