Offered is a professional model W176 Ted Williams H&B Louisville Slugger dating to circa his 1953 season with the Boston Red Sox which has been signed on the barrel in black marker by Williams. Autographed Ted Williams bats are extremely rare and highly desired by most advanced collectors. Bat currently measures 35", weighs 32 ounces and shows ideal use with ball marks, stitch marks, grain swelling/slight deadwood, consistent with repeated contact of bat to ball by the Splendid Splinter. One of the most desired personal player traits associated with any player is Ted's uniform number 9 which was painted on the knob. The painted "9" is found on only the very finest examples of Ted Williams bats. One of the finest examples known in the hobby and graded with milestone of 9 by both MEARS and PSA/Taube.
