1952-60 Nellie Fox Chicago White Sox H&B Louisville Slugger Professional Model Game Used Bat (MEARS A5.5)

Offered is a game used Nellie Fox professional model H&B Louisville Slugger dating to the Hall of Fame second sacker's tenure with the Chicago White Sox between 1952 & 1960. Model C12 is stamped on the knob while the barrel features a "Nelson Fox" signature stamping. Bat currently measures 34", weighs 33.5 ounces and shows heavy use with ball marks, stitch marks, bat rack marks, dead wood with some separation on the reverse of the barrel and an approximately 4" section of missing wood between the center brand and barrel. Handle remains uncracked. Final Grade (MEARS A5.5) Base grade 5 points for bat matching factory records, 3 points for heavy game use, minus 2 for Deadwood on reverse/discoloration of barrel, minus 1/2 for missing piece of grain (1.5") on front of barrel.
