Offered is a scarce game worn St. Louis Browns cap that was only worn by the team for two years. It remains in stellar condition with obvious signs of game wear but given it is a hat, it is amazing that it could survive in such a remarkable state. The name "Klu" is written in faded marker under the bill and the only player in 1950-51 that matches those initials is Clyde who caught for the Browns in 1951 only. Clyde was a major league catcher for nine seasons but was in organized ball for 42 years. As a scout for the Yankees, he was responsible for signing Catfish Hunter.
