1950-53 Roy Weatherly Professional Model H&B Louisville Slugger Game Used Bat (MEARS LOA)

Offered is a professional model S153 Roy Weatherly H&B Louisville Slugger dating to the close of his playing career circa 1950-53. Bat currently measures 35", weighs 33.5 ounces and shows heavy use with ball marks, stitch marks, bat rack marks, dead wood repaired with period nails, handle tape remnants, light pine tar and number 4 written on the knob. While Weatherly did appear with the New York Giants during the 1950 season, he wore number 39, indicating bat likely saw use during one of his minor league stops which included the Oakland Oaks of the PCL (1950-51), the Minneapolis Millers of the American Association (1951) and the Baltimore Orioles of the International League (1952-53).
