1949-50 Tommy O'Brien Boston Red Sox Game Worn Home Jersey (MEARS LOA)

Offered is a Boston Red Sox home jersey which was issued to Tommy O'Brien for his 1949-50 campaigns with the club. Presence of National Association of Professional Baseball Leagues 50th Anniversary patch on left sleeve indicates that uniform was carried over for minor league use in 1951 by the team's Scranton affiliate, the Miners. Wilson manufacturer tag sew to outside tail with laundry instructions and a size 46 box tag while a felt strip reading "O'Brien 4 in S" is sewn in the collar. Team name and number sewn to jersey in red on navy double heavy felt with some bleeding present around the name and numerals. Heavy use shown. (54H0203)
