1946-47 Wes Westrum New York Giants H&B Louisville Slugger Professional Model Game Used Bat (MEARS A8 & PSA/DNA GU 8)

Offered is a professional model Wes Westrum game used H&B Louisville Slugger dating to circa the outset of his career with the New York Giants organization circa 1946-47. Westrum played for Jacksonville of the South Atlantic League in 1946 then spent most of 1947 with Minneapolis of the American Association before a late season call up to the Major League club. Bat currently measures 34.5", weighs 35.5 ounces and shows heavy use with ball marks & stitch marks throughout the barrel. Handle remains uncracked. PSA/DNA hologram I02104 affixed on barrel's end with a corresponding grade of GU8 listed in their online database. Bat receives 5 points for matching player records and 3 points for use resulting in a final grade of MEARS A8. (96X0033, 1343)
