Offered is a 34" H&B Louisville Slugger lathe pattern bat which was used during the process of producing bats for Hall of Fame New York Giants slugger Mel Ott. "7/14/33 35 oz Melvin Ott 7/14/33 NY Ntl Lea" handwritten on barrel of bat which remains in very good overall condition with slight fading to portions of the handwritten barrel notation and a small chip of wood missing from the lathe piece on the knob.
