Offered is a rare signature model gamer of the popular 1930's Athletics super star, Bing Miller. It is the scarce "Powerized and Bone Rubbed" logo used in 1932 only. The bat has a beautiful 1930's dark finish with the deep and dark factory stamps that jump right off the bat. The bat measures a little over 35 1/2" and currently weighs 33.5 oz. The bat exhibits heavy game use with swelling on the top and back of barrel and numerous cleat marks about the end of the bat. There is a multiple handle crack that extends 13" at it's longest point and is a bit discolored where it was once taped over. According to factory records, Bing was shipped a total of 12 bats the entire 1932 season. Bat grades a MEARS A7, having lost 1 point for the crack which could be restored if desired.
Miller had a .311 average after 16 seasons, the best of which were as a member of Connie Mack's championship teams of 1929, 1930 and 1931. He hit over .300 nine times or over half of his professional career. Collection of MEARS staff.
