Offered for auction in this lot is a Hack Wilson professional model Kren's Clouter game used bat from his time with the Chicago Cubs and Brooklyn Dodgers in the early 1930's. This pre-model number stick features a Kren's Clouter center brand and Wilson is stamped on the barrel in block letters.
This natural finished ash bat currently weighs 32 ounces, measures 35" in length and matches recorded player specifications with a round barrel and small knob. It exhibits signs of heavy use with excessive wear on the barrel, chipping on the knob, ball marks, bat rack marks, cleat marks, dead wood and a 16" handle crack which has been repaired with period nails.
MEARS grades this bat as authentic.
