1921-30 Rogers Hornsby H&B Louisville Slugger Professional Model Game Used Bat (MEARS A7.5)

Offered for auction in this lot is a Rogers Hornsby professional model H&B Louisville Slugger game used bat with a 1921-30 era factory stamping during which time the Rajah played primarily for the St. Louis Cardinals but also spent time with the New York Giants, Boston Braves and Chicago Cubs.

This pre-model number ash bat currently weighs 36 ounces, measures 36" in length and matches known player factory records with an early version of the flare knob and round signature model barrel. It exhibits signs of heavy use with ball marks, deeply embedded stitch marks, cleat marks and a handle crack which has been professionally repaired.

Bat receives 5 points for matching known player factory records, 3 points for use and loses 1/2 point for cleat marks affecting the factory stamping resulting in a final grade of MEARS A7.5.
