1921-28 George Sisler H&B Retail Model 125 Used Bat Returned to H&B by May & Malone in 1928

Physical characteristics: Bat is a standard signature model retail bat that was returned to H&B on 8-4-28. It is side writin May & Malone 8-4-28 . Knob is stamped 34” and weighs 37.9 oz. Bat shows heavy game use on all sides with a 8” handle crack (some chipping), some light grain separation (some vintage nails used to repair) and cleat marks about the barrel. Factory stamps are perfect as is the original factory finish. It is graded authentic since it is a standard retail model bat. No information on May & Malone but probably a sporting goods store. There are two tape rings on the handle.

History: Sisler 125 bats are scarce in both game and retail models. We do not know the history of the player whom returned the bat and George Sisler himself was a Hall of Fame player best remembered for his years with the Browns. LOA MEARS
