Fournier, along with team mate Zack Wheat, was a stellar batsman for the Brooklyn team from 1923-26 leading the National League in home runs in 1924 with 27 dingers. He also was second only to the great Rogers Hornsby in the RBI totals for 1925. A very rare signature model bat being the only example in the MEARS data base.
The bat itself measures 34" and weighs a mere 28 oz. (could have weighed up to four ounces more at time of shipment) The factory stamps are perfect and the bat remains uncracked. Use is significant on all hitting surfaces with cleat marks all about the barrel and just a hint of minor grain separation on back of the barrel. There is one small chip on knob and on the end of the knob is a hand carved (MI) Bat grades an A7 with 5 base points, 3 use points and a combined -1 for knob and grain separation.
