1860's-80's circa Town Ball Flat Barreled Baseball Bat (MEARS LOA)

Offered is a flat barreled town ball baseball bat likely dating to circa the 1860's through 1880's. No manufacturer stampings or other markings visible while the bat measures approximately 32" & weighs 26.5 ounces with a barrel which is considerably flatter than those which would appear later in the 19th century. Bat shows heavy use yet remains in excellent overall condition with only a few small dents in the barrel & none of the wood loss or deadwood which is typically found on bats from this era. (99A0352)
