1860's-80's circa Town Ball Flat Barreled Baseball Bat (MEARS LOA)

Offered is a flat barreled town ball baseball bat likely dating to circa the 1860's through 1880's. No manufacturer stampings or markings are visible while the bat measures 32" & weighs 29 ounces with a barrel which is considerably flatter than those which would appear later in the 19th century. Heavy use shown with numerous markings found throughout the barrel area. (94V0397)
