Anthony Smith was a terror on the football field and epitomized Raider football. The lifelong Raider was a first-round pick who finished with a respectable 57.5 sacks during his seven-year career.

Smith donned this size "54" jersey during the 1991 season. We reviewed the MEARS database and the Sand Knit tagging style was used from 1985-90, but because of the inclusion of the NFL shield on front (first year used 1991) it would have been worn in the early '90s.

Sewn in the collar is a Los Angeles Raiders exclusivity tag and Sand Knit size tag, both zig zag anchor stitched. Dazzle cloth shoulders/body includes traditional mesh built into the midsection and tail.

Stretch spandex is fitted into the sides and underarms. Numerous hit marks and few unrepaired tears are found in the shoulders. The identifiers are created in single-color textured twill favored by the team during this time period. "A. SMITH" is included to a nameplate on back. The "A" prefix was used because the team also rostered running back Steve Smith.

A crotch piece is installed in the tail, with the original six buttons still in-place.
