The Green Bay Packers of the 1960s were some of football's finest collections of talent. Although the Lombardi era was over by 1970, the team was still stocked with his Hall of Fame players from that run.
This The Duke football is signed by many of the men who made the Packers kings of the NFL. But it is the likes of Travis Williams, Bob Brown, Lee Roy Caffey and Elijah Pitts which take this ball over the top although signatures of Hall of Famers Henry Jordan, Bart Starr, Ray Nitschke, Marv Fleming, Willie Wood, Willie Davis and Herb Adderley don't deter from the overall greatness.
We have deduced the vintage to 1970 because it includes the autograph of Leon Harden, who only played with the Packers that one year.
By our count 49 players/coaches signed this ball in black ballpoint ink. Each signature is carefully crafted and still stands out from the leather exterior. Those who signed include: Ray Wietcha, Phil Bengston, Wayne Robinson, Bob Schnelker, Zeke Bratkowski, Dave Hanner, Ron Jones, Ray Nitschke, Bob Brown, Gordon Rule, Don Horn, Francis Winkler, Dave Bradley, Bill Hayhoe, Travis Williams, Bill Stevens, Jim Weatherwax, Willie Davis, Bob Hyland, Elijah Pitts, Doug Hart, Boyd Dowler, Bart Starr, Jim Flanigan, Travis Williams, Rich Moore, Lionel Aldridge, Perry Williams, Dave Robinson, Marv Fleming, Phil Vandersea, Mike Mercer, Dave Hampton, Willie Wood, John Rowser, Bob Jeter, Jim Grabowski, Henry Jordan, Leon Harden, Lee Roy Caffey, Ken Bowman, Herb Adderley, Carroll Dale, Bob Jeter and a five more.
