Scott Case was one of the fiercest hitters of his era, or any for that matter. If playing under the current rules, Case would probably have to hand his game check over to the commissioner's office each week as the safety was a headhunter.
Case donned this jersey between 1984-89 based on the tagging and jersey style. This wonderful red mesh garment shows outstanding safety wear with hit marks and scrapes still visible on the shoulders. The right shoulder numbers have decent scuffing from Sunday conflicts.
Falcons decals are evident on the shoulders as is gray/black/gray striping. All of the numerals are heat pressed. "CASE" is instituted to a nameplate on back and is crafted in single-color white tackle twill.
Applied in the tail is a Russell Athletic size tag, fabric content flag tag and undecipherable year identifier.
Employed by the Green Bay Packers from 1984-2000, Scott Waters had on field access for each game, and mingled along the sidelines with the players. Several candid photos document his presence on the field. This lot originated directly from the Scott Waters collection. Detailed LOA’s personally signed by Scott Waters will be included with each item from his collection. Letters of authenticity: Scott Waters & MEARS / Troy Kinunen
