This original, first generation photo, originated from one of the newspaper archives from the John Rogers Photo Archives.
In late 1931, the life of one of football's greatest coaches came to an untimely end. The plane of Notre Dame coach Knute Rockne crashed, costing him his life. This 8" x 10" photo shows the site of the tragic crash. On the Reverse: Date stamp, affixed cutline. F1317
