Circa 1940s is this Wilson made leather football helmet. This is an early look at the metal faceask which is prominently featured on the front.

Eight layers of black leather decorate the shell as do impregnated ear holes. "F2180" and "Full Fibre Reinforced" are stamped on the reverse of this gridiron relic.
