Herb Adderley was a championship caliber player as he played on six championship squads. Three Super Bowl triumphs were joined by three NFL championships for the Hall of Fame corner.
One of Lombardi's legends, Adderley was considered the finest saftety of his era. These pants, with a labeling period of 1964-67, were worn by Adderley when he was shutting down an entire side of the field.
The inner waistline has at least four numbers blackened out - "26" twice (Adderley's number) and "41" (Junior Coffey in 1965). A Sand Knit size "32" tag, EX Long label and washing instructions tag are found in the waistline and "32 XL" is written in vintage black marker.
Tremendous use is shown on these pants with a team repair on front. A belt is still in-place on front.
Employed by the Green Bay Packers from 1984-2000, Scott Waters had on field access for each game, and mingled along the sidelines with the players. Several candid photos document his presence on the field. This lot originated directly from the Scott Waters collection.
