When healthy, Eddie Lee Ivery was a top-flight running back who could shoulder the offensive burden for the Green Bay Packers.
Despite numerous setbacks, Ivery always came back to answer the bell. From his final season in Green Bay is this game used helmet.
Decent use is shown on this numerous surface scratches and contact use. According the Riddell manufacturer's logo this was made in Nov. of 1985 and was ready for use in '86. The following are captured inside: Riddell WD1 padding, size "7 3/8" sticker and "86" written. We believe the "86" is referenced to the year of use. Several of the helmets made in 1986 had "86" written on the inner ear hole.
The back features these pertinent additions: transparent warning sticker, Riddell back bumper, "40" green dymo label and two chinstrap hook-ups.
Employed by the Green Bay Packers from 1984-2000, Scott Waters had on field access for each game, and mingled along the sidelines with the players. Several candid photos document his presence on the field. This lot originated directly from the Scott Waters collection. Detailed LOA’s personally signed by Scott Waters will be included with each item from his collection. Letters of authenticity: Scott Waters & MEARS / Troy Kinunen
