Tom Baldwin was a throwback in the truest sense. The beer guzzling defensive lineman did yeoman's work on the Jets defensive line from 1984-88. While he didn't garner headlines like The Sack Exchange members, Baldwin was a stabilizing force for the Jets.
This Jets helmet was worn by Baldwin during his days in The Big Apple. A number of gouges and hit scrapes decorate the green shell. "Jets" logo decals adorn the sides of this headgear. "95" is carefully placed on the reverse in block lettering. Riddell AF2 padding is situated on the inside. A plastic cover secures the foam padding on front. A size "7 7/8" sticker is also apparent. The gel filled inside is still complete.
Each of the facemask clips reads "86" so it is safe in assuming Baldwin donned this very helmet during this time period.
